Today was a perfect example of why stewardship is at the heart of our community orchard. Volunteers at Ben Nobleman Park Community Orchard came out in full force, rolling up their sleeves and digging into some much-needed fall prep!

We split into teams to get everything done. Team 1 took on the pollinator garden, giving it a proper fall cleanup, making sure it’s ready for the winter months. We want to make sure our pollinators have a happy home when spring comes around!

It’s been a busy month for us in the Ben Nobleman Park Community Orchard. July always brings a burst of growth, and this year, with all the rain, our garden turned into a jungle! With all that lush growth came plenty of weeds, so we’ve been hard at work clearing them out.

Today was a fantastic day at the Ben Nobleman Park Community Orchard, where we had an incredible turnout of volunteers and community members to help with the cherry harvest. Our two huge cherry trees were brimming with sweet cherries, and with the help of our amazing community, we harvested a 81 pounds (36.7 kg) of cherries!
