On July 3rd, Ben Nobleman Park was buzzing with cherry lovers of all ages. It was our annual community cherry harvest, and this year, our two big sweet cherry trees really showed off — they were heavy with fruit, branches dripping with beautiful, sweet cherries just waiting to be picked.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a moment to sit down and write a blog update. And that’s because we’ve been busy — not just working in the Ben Nobleman Park Community Orchard, but laughing, learning, digging, planting, pruning… and having a lot of fun together.

What happens when you mix great people, a little sunshine, and a shared love of trees? A magical first Stewardship Day! From weeding and prepping tree circles to pruning and learning together, this community continues to inspire. We’d love for you to be part of it!

There’s something about the first Stewardship Day of the season that feels a little like waking up after a long winter nap. The trees are just starting to stir, the air is still crisp, but there’s a buzz of excitement—and at Ben Nobleman Park Community Orchard, we felt it big time this past weekend!
